Vale Royal Crematorium celebrates six-year anniversary with £6000 donation to local St. Luke’s Hospice

Northwich, United Kingdom – Located in the heart of Cheshire, Vale Royal Crematorium has recently celebrated their six-year anniversary and to mark the special occasion, they donated £6000 to local St Luke’s hospice through its metal recycling scheme. Since its opening in 2014, the Northwich crematorium has donated a total of £20,000 in support of St Luke’s hospice.

Manager, Dave Haslam, has been with the crematorium for five and a half years and has been in full support of the local hospice. He said: “This money has been raised from our metal recycling scheme and would not have been possible without the permission from the families whom we serve, so it is key that we ensure that the monies raised go back into the local community. It is an honour to play a small role in giving back. Vale Royal Crematorium opened in July 2014 and we very quickly realised how important St. Luke’s Hospice is to Northwich, Winsford and the surrounding areas, and so we knew that we wanted to help them in their providing of care.”

For more than 30 years, St Luke’s Hospice has supported people living with life limiting illnesses in mid and south Cheshire. From expert medical care to counselling and a wide range of other support services, St Lukes’s prides itself on helping people live every day in a way that suits them, with the very best medical care as and when it is required.

Angela Slack, Community Partnerships Manager, said: “We are so grateful to our friends at the Vale Royal Crematorium for their continued support, now more than ever. Their kind donation of £6,000 will make a real difference to patient care here at the Hospice in the coming months. To date they have generously donated more than £20,000 to St Luke’s which is simply fantastic and so very gratefully received.”

Dave added, “We have the facilities, expertise and understanding to help you craft a service that marks your loved ones’ passing in the most meaningful and personal way and we are often asked to personalise funerals to really celebrate the life of that person.”

Serving communities from Tarporley to Knutsford, Middlewich, Northwich and surrounding areas, the crematorium offers exceptional care in a beautiful setting, helping families to remember the lives of their loved ones in a way that is uniquely personal.
