Community open day at Vale Royal Crematorium

Vale Royal Crematorium is looking forward to welcoming visitors to a community open day on Saturday 9 May.

 

An invitation is open to anyone to visit between 10am and 2pm, when they will be able to tour the acres of beautifully maintained gardens as well as the welcoming and comfortable chapel.

 

Visitors will have an opportunity to take a tour of the crematory, if they wish, and meet the crematorium’s friendly and supportive team.

Last November, Vale Royal Crematorium became a funeral SuperVenue and visitors to the open day will be able to see a showcase demonstrating how state-of-the-art technology enables funerals to be personalised to unprecedented levels through innovative, immersive theming.

“It is an opportunity to ask any questions they might have about what we do, especially the various service options we offer to help with making the right choice for themselves or a loved one.

“We are particularly proud to be able to demonstrate the SuperVenue technology, which offers the bereaved the opportunity to curate a unique canvas theme for their loved one’s service.

“Before entering the chapel, mourners will be greeted by the name and a cherished photo of their loved one, displayed on an external welcome screen, setting the tone for the funeral to follow.

“Inside the chapel, projected onto the entire front wall – or canvas – and accompanied by harmoniously coordinated soundscapes and lighting, a theme can be projected to truly reflect the life and interests of the person being remembered.

“Whether it’s a waterfall or a seasonal background, or even a football stadium, there is a wide range of themes available, with many options to tailor the displays to enable the funeral to be more uniquely personal and meaningful than ever.

“It really needs to be seen first-hand in order to be truly appreciated, which is why we have arranged a special Showcase for our open day.

“This is all part of our commitment to upholding the highest standards for the families we serve, working closely with industry partners, delivering dignity, peace of mind and the most uniquely personal farewell options to every family.

“We will also be glad to speak to anyone about options for memorialisation, whether that is in our grounds, ash scattering away from a crematorium or other options, such as personal keepsakes.

“Should they wish, visitors are also welcome to write a letter or card to someone they have lost and place it in our Letters to Heaven memorial post box.

“We look forward to welcoming our neighbours from near and further afield on 9 May.”

The community open day is free of charge, there is no need to book in advance, and light refreshments will be available.
